An Ash tree was coppiced many years ago causing it to grow back with multiple stems. Unfortunately, it had been affected by a fungal decay at the base making it prone to failure. Two of the stems were overhanging the client’s property and a BT wire, the remaining stems were over the neighbour’s garage.
ProTreeworks were tasked with dismantling the tree safely without causing damage to the structures underneath. A rigging system was set up to enable us to lower all the branches and timber to the ground in a controlled manner, avoiding all the targets underneath the canopy. The customer specified that the timber from this operation was to be left in manageable lengths for him to utilise as firewood, the branches were chipped and removed leaving the site clean and tidy on completion.
